Chrissi Eklemes

A unique one-off edition every month

In collaboration with Chrissi Eklemes, we translated her deep connection with the sea, the Greek summer, and the colorful life on the Chalkidiki coast into a unique Limited Edition design, inspired by her homeland in northern Greece.

She is the third in the Buvanha X Artists series, in which we collaborate with seven artists worldwide to create a one-off edition of unique travel towels designed by them.

Meet Chriss

“This towel is more than just a beach essential – it's a piece of art inspired by my homeland, Halkidiki, a vibrant peninsula in northern Greece.

Halkidiki is known for its turquoise bays, dreamy beaches, and lively summer atmosphere. I wanted to capture exactly that feeling in color: the deep blue of the sea, the soft turquoise waves, and the glowing shades of orange, pink, and rose that fill the sky at sunset over the Aegean.

Each brushstroke stands for warmth, movement, and freedom – just like a summer evening in Halkidiki feels.”

How Chalkidiki inspired her…

Chrissi was inspired by the summers on the coast of Chalkidiki, where the azure water, the warm breeze and the magical evening light come together to design the towel.

With this design she not only wants to capture the colours of the Aegean coast, but also the feeling of freedom and movement that she brings to life with every brushstroke.

The sunsets over the Aegean Sea, the soft blue of the waves, and the warm glow of the sky—for Chrissi, they are more than just landscapes. They form the rhythm, the energy, and the heart of her design.

It is an ode to her roots, and to the endless feeling of summer that this place gives her.

Support Archipelagos with every travel towel sold

For this limited edition, Chrissi chose a charity close to her heart: Archipelagos – Institute of Marine Conservation . Their project "Save the Aegean" is committed to protecting the rich biodiversity of the Aegean Sea.

For every towel sold , €1 goes directly to this initiative . This way, you contribute to the conservation of vulnerable marine ecosystems, rare animal species, and the natural beauty of the sea that Chrissi holds so dear.
